Yes has 1.6 TP CAN-Bus, same as Mk IV Needed some adapters from ISO, so not totally "plug & play" for me:  Working in car:   Purif92 Bought new from Chinese VW dealership. I found an inventory list from 2015 on internet for all 4S (VW spare parts) branches and one black unit was listed in Changzhou dealership. So my Chinese friend rang the phone number of the 4S dealership and they confirmed that they still had it in stock! He paid for it and had it posted to his parents. Three weeks later they come to Australia and bring it on aeroplane with them! You need to now look on taobao for secondhand units (sometimes perhaps new old ones as well) For search, is better to translate enquiry into Chinese language using google translate. Black is very very rare to find in any case....I have only seen maybe 5 or 6 for sale in last 5 years There were also still two silver ones listed in Guangzhou in southern China on this inventory list I found from 2015, but did not contact them. |

Try translating these terms to Chinese with google translate, then put the Chinese text in taobao search box at top of page: Siemens VDO NV2428 (or NAV2428) Volkswagen Passat New Lingyu factory navigation 3Bd 035 191 B (which is silver factory unit) ZVC909010 SCH is this black accessory unit ZVC909010 SIL is the silver accessory unit They are all exactly the same technically in operation. Good luck!  Also tested Scirocco camera system:  It works!

Yeah I see, it uses Quadlock and fakra connectors like RSN2, I have a project that involves installing 1.6 canbus in my car (CCM 1C0 instead of 1J0) and fitting a RSN2 unit which will perfectly works with the FIS display and steering wheel controls.What I meant by "p&p" it's that you didn't need 1.6 => 2.0 CAN adapter, which is not a really good fitting option (diag issue with vcds and not sure the nav infos will be on the FIS screen, depends on the brand of the adapter) In other words, you found the perfect nav system for your car, and because it's really rare, maybe you'll be the only one to have it fitted into a MK4! Nice pics, your unit fits very very well in your car! OEM parts, OEM looks, but newer car options! Enjoy!

Thank you. Unfortunately, the NV2428 does not speak to FIS, so no display in cluster anymore  Steering wheel controls will work okay with this unit, if you have them. Here is a picture with my new TECH alloy piece from Brasil (special Brasil Golf 4.5 model)  I like it very much.

In China, the VW dealer needs to match the VIN to the unit and put a verification code in the map data. Had to update firmware in unit and also modify some map data for it to work. These things take time. Can now also modify the colour scheme with a firmware update. Going to modify graphics to RNS510 "Premium" skin design with black buttons. At the moment, design is like "Highline" with white buttons - too bright in Mk IV interior at night!
